NAHA Food Program
Providing Lifeline Support Against Hunger
Poverty and hunger are daily realities for many families on the Sioux Reservations. With unemployment rates over 80% and more than 90% of residents living below the poverty line in areas like Pine Ridge and Crow Creek, food insecurity has become a pressing challenge.
NAHA's Food Program partners with Orphan Grain Train to bring healthy, nutritious food to Crow Creek, Lower Brule, Pine Ridge, Cheyenne River, and Rosebud Reservations. Every month, NAHA delivers around 350,000 pounds of groceries to Native American families who would otherwise face empty shelves.
NAHA's efforts address more than immediate hunger; we provide hope and health for a brighter future. By easing food insecurity, our program works to break the cycle of poverty, allowing Native American families to focus on education, work, and community growth.

DID YOU KNOW
NAHA's trucks carry everything from fresh produce and dairy to non-perishable items. This is the same food you find in grocery stores, but for many Native American families, resources to access these essentials are out of reach.
Your tax-deductible donation ensures that our trucks keep rolling, and families continue to receive the nutrition they need. Whether you can support us with a one-time gift or join as a monthly donor, every dollar counts.
