The Northern Plains winter is harsh and unyielding. From September through May, blizzards and subzero arctic winds batter the Dakotas, creating critical risks for Native American families on the Reservations. With homes lacking insulation, many families—including children and elders—face life-threatening conditions each winter.

How NAHA Makes a Difference

NAHA steps in by providing emergency heating stoves and propane to hundreds of households. These stoves create a vital safe space, bringing at least one room up to 50°F, protecting families from the freezing conditions outside.

With heating costs rising, the need for assistance grows each year. Your donation can provide:

  • Small, life-saving heating stoves

  • Propane refills throughout the winter

  • A lifeline of warmth and safety for families in need
